We are in the process of expanding the content on our site to provide visitors with helpful information about the law enforcement role within the City of Amery, please check back frequently with our page to see our progress and updates.

As the Chief of Police, I am honored to lead the exceptional team of the Amery Police Department. Since my appointment in October of 2023, we have taken significant steps to improve the safety of the citizens of Amery. By enhancing our officers' technology and resources, we can serve the needs of our community more efficiently. Our policies and procedures are being updated to ensure transparency in the information that people are searching for.

One goal of the members of the department is to remain a highly respected and professional Police Department that serves as a model for our area. We believe that providing law enforcement services is more than just writing a ticket or taking a report. We value the relationships that we have built in the community. Not only do we maintain order and protect the citizens and property of Amery, but we also work with the community to prevent crime and solve community problems. We are continually looking for ways to improve the cooperative working relationship with the people we serve and to expand the community’s confidence in us.

As your Chief of Police, I will always listen to your needs, I will be open and honest with community members as well as with the men and women with whom I serve. Feel free to stop into my office, call me, or send me an email anytime. We live in challenging times, and we need your collaboration and understanding to solve the complex problems that face our society. Let us all commit to keeping an open mind and doing what is best for our community. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Chief Dan Peters
