The Amery Historical Society has created several brochures documenting the history of past and current buildings located in Amery.

  • Find out about Amery's first hotel, which was built in 1886 and stood until 1984. 
  • Discover the history of the Burman Building built in 1888 to house furniture and a general store. 
  • Learn about the Amery Classic Theatre, known as the Gem Theatre, which was remodeled one-hundred years after theater's first opening. 
  • Read about the M&M Barbershop which has been in continuous operation since its opening in 1895. 
  • Explore the history of the Union State Bank built in 1908 on the city's main street.
  • Discover the transformation the Fay Auto Building which was erected in 1911. 
  • Read about the Feit Building which was constructed in 1928 and currently houses Ida Mae's, which was named "Best Ma and Pa Restaurant by Our Wisconsin magazine in 2014.
