City of Amery COVID-19 Resources
The City of Amery is working closely with the Polk County Health Department and the State of Wisconsin Health & Human Services to navigate the challenges of COVID-19 to keep our community safe and our businesses open.
NO IN-PERSON City of Amery TAX COLLECTIONS
Due to COVD-19 concerns, we will not be taking in-person payments for taxes or dog licenses. Tax payments MUST be mailed or dropped in one of the City's three (3) payment drop boxes. Include a self-addressed stamped envelope if you would like a receipt or dog license. You can go on-line, approximately one week after you make your payment, to verify that the payment was receipted at Polk County Land Records.

Limit on Indoor Public Gatherings
Governor Evers issued an emergency order limiting public gatherings to no more than 25% of a room or building’s total occupancy until November 6, 2020. The City has been in contact with the Polk County Health Department regarding calculating a building's occupancy capacity. The capacity is based on fire code. We have attached some information to aide in calculating a business' occupancy.

Gov. Evers Directs Department of Health Services to Limit Indoor Public Gatherings On October 6, 2020, Governor Tony Evers directed Wisconsin Department of Health Services Secretary-designee Andrea Palm to issue Emergency Order 3, limiting public gatherings to no more than 25 percent of a room or building's total occupancy, with some exceptions.
